Industry-driven learning
Companies do not visit the classroom. They are inside it.
Partners set the briefs, review the work and sit on the panels. Students are assessed by the people who hire before they ever apply for a job.

How it works
Two mechanisms carry the whole model.
Everything else — the calendar, the faculty mix, the assessment format — exists to make these two things possible.
Live briefs
The problem statement comes from a company, not a casebook
Partner organisations hand over a real question they are currently working on, with the constraints intact: partial data, competing priorities, a deadline.
- Scoped with the partner before the term begins
- Reviewed mid-way by the team that set it
- Presented back to the partner at the end

Applied studios
Build, defend, revise — then do it again at a higher standard
Studios run a build-and-defend cycle across a full module. Students ship an artefact, take it apart in front of a practitioner, and rebuild it.
- Practitioner review at every checkpoint
- Artefacts students can show a hiring manager
- Feedback recorded against role competencies

What partners do
Four roles, not a logo on a brochure.
- 01
Set the brief
Partners contribute the problem statements that anchor applied work each term.
- 02
Teach the craft
Practitioners run sessions from decisions they have personally owned, including the ones that went badly.
- 03
Sit on the panel
Student recommendations are assessed by the people who would have to act on them.
- 04
Hire the evidence
Partners meet candidates through work rather than through a résumé screen.

The engagement
What a term looks like from the partner's side.
A brief is not dropped off. Partners stay in the loop from scoping to final defence.
- Pre-term
Scoping conversation
A partner brings a live question. FBBS shapes it into a brief that fits a term without diluting the difficulty.
- Week 1
Kick-off with the team
The partner's team briefs students directly, including the context that never makes it into a case study.
- Mid-module
Mid-point review
Students present early thinking and get the same pushback a consultant would receive.
- Module close
Final defence
A recommendation is delivered and defended in front of the partner and practitioner faculty.
Career-proven
The curriculum is designed backward from the hire.
FBBS starts with the job description and works in reverse: competencies, tools, assessment format, and only then the syllabus.
- 01
Hiring funnels
We study what companies actually need and how they screen for it.
- 02
Skill mapping
Curriculum is aligned to the competencies inside those roles.
- 03
Real projects
Students work live industry tasks against real constraints.
- 04
Placement
Students step into roles they have already rehearsed.

Role-led pathways, designed backward from hiring
Full-time, structured, in the second year
The instruments of modern business work
The consequence is a graduate who has already been through the sequence a new hire is put through in their first year: an ambiguous brief, a short deadline, a senior stakeholder who asks why.
Partner voices
On working inside the model.
“From a corporate point of view, First Bridge shortens the learning curve dramatically when they enter the workplace.”
“The First Bridge model focuses on real projects, real deadlines, and real accountability—which is exactly how the corporate world operates.”
“If I were advising a student today, I'd say First Bridge is a serious opportunity because it bridges the gap between classroom knowledge and industry expectations in a very practical way.”
