Shilpa Gupta

Ms Shilpa Gupta has seen capital markets from almost every angle: as an equity analyst, a strategist, a fund-raiser and a chief operating officer. Over more than 27 years she has worked on IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, global roadshows, investor relations and business transformation. Today she is the founder of Iravati Wealth.

Before founding it, she was Managing Director and Group COO at Equirus, responsible for strategy, new initiatives and group transformation. She also led strategy and corporate planning at Suzlon Energy, working with government and industry bodies on renewable-energy policy. At SageOne Investments she built the business-development and operations teams during a four-year stretch in which assets under management grew fourfold. Her career began in equity research at ICICI Securities, where she was among the country's top-rated analysts in the Asiamoney polls, a regular expert on CNBC, and part of the core team that grew the institutional broking business thirty-three-fold in nine years.

A chemical engineer from IIT Roorkee and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, she is also a novelist, with Ananya: A Bittersweet Journey and Double or Quits to her name. At First Bridge, she brings the discipline of the markets, and a storyteller's clarity, to finance and wealth management.
