Meeta Makhan

Ms Meeta Makhan has spent more than 25 years on both sides of the boardroom table: first as a senior banker, and then as an independent director overseeing listed companies. Her banking career took her through Citibank, Standard Chartered and IDFC Bank, to heading multinational corporates at Barclays and serving as Managing Director at Bank of America, where she led transaction banking.

She sits on boards including those of Timex Group India and Kanoria Chemicals & Industries, and has served on the boards of Lakshmi Vilas Bank and Asian Hotels (West). In 2020, the Reserve Bank of India appointed her to chair the committee of directors that ran Lakshmi Vilas Bank's day-to-day affairs at a critical time. She is also the founder of DoUndo, a sustainability venture, and an alumna of IIM Lucknow.
