Profile
About this faculty member.
Ishan Kakkar teaches Generative AI at First Bridge Business School, where his work centres on the gap between what an AI system can do in a demonstration and what an organisation can actually put into production and stand behind.
He holds a PhD from IIM Kashipur and an MBA from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior. Before joining FBBS he was an Assistant Manager at Baroda Global Shared Services, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of Baroda — an environment where a model is only useful once it survives the controls, audit trails and accountability a regulated bank imposes on it.
That shapes how he teaches. His sessions treat implementation, policy and governance as one subject rather than three: who owns a model's output, what evidence justifies deploying it, which decisions must stay with a person, and how an institution answers for the result. Students leave with an artefact they could defend to a risk committee, not a prompt they could demonstrate at a conference.
