Dr Preet Deep Singh

Dr Preet Deep Singh has trained more than 50,000 central government officers, including officers of the Prime Minister's Office, to work with generative AI, and hosts several highly rated AI courses on the government's Karmayogi platform. He is now Vice President at BlueMachines.AI (Apna), which works on voice-AI orchestration.

Before joining Apna, he spent six years at Invest India, the national investment promotion agency. There he led AI adoption for the Government of India, served as Chief Analytics Officer and ran the One District One Product initiative. As head of the Startup India programme, he worked on blockchain-based certificates, the resolution of the angel-tax issue and the official definition of a startup. Earlier, he led the startup practice at EY India and worked in governance, risk and compliance at KPMG. Apolitical has named him among the world's top 100 people in AI.

He holds a PhD in Finance from IIM Ahmedabad, where he won the Chaudhary–Padmanabhan–Pant Gold Medal, and is a qualified company secretary. His research on startups, trust and corporate governance ranks in the top five per cent on SSRN. He teaches at IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay and IIM Sambalpur, and at First Bridge he brings a practical, policy-tested view of AI and analytics to students preparing for an AI-native economy.
